The villa Chaptal, in Levallois, is a private way overlooking two streets of which the street Chaptal with houses each of different style, encircled with gardens. Among these, the most extraordinary is the Moorish Villa.

Constructed in 1892 for the painter Alfred Frederick Mittenhoff, it will be sold retail the same year to the tenor and manager of the Opera of Paris, Pedro Gailhard, which will raise it of a floor.

The internal development of this home comes to a great extent from the Spanish Pavilion of the world fair of 1889. His decor is inspired of Moorish art and art nouveau. This home is listed as an ancient monument since 1993.
