The subjects of painting are partly borrowed from Ancient and from New Testament: the Pilgrim, three David, original Sin, jobs of Adam and Eve, Caïn and Abel, the Deposition of the crucifix... All these motives, obviously disparate, get organized however around the topics of conflict between Good and Evil, and destiny of soul.
